The Nonhyeon-dong Agency Building redefines the vertical office typology with a bold and monolithic presence in the heart of Gangnam. Designed by KYK Architects and initiated in 2022, the project is conceived as a refined concrete tower that balances solidity and lightness through carefully modulated façade articulation.
The massing is vertically extruded, with a distinct base-and-tower composition. The lower levels provide a generous public frontage with transparent glazing and horizontal expression, while the upper tower features finely scaled vertical fins that offer both solar control and a refined texture to the urban skyline.
Strategically set back from the street edge, the building introduces a semi-public forecourt that enhances pedestrian experience and signals its civic presence.
The use of reinforced concrete as the primary structure reinforces the building’s permanence, while integrated landscaping softens its edges. Located at Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the building stands as a contemporary marker of commercial and institutional identity — timeless in form, yet adaptive in function.
