The Buwon Electric headquarters, located in Yongdap-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, underwent a major renovation in 2016, completely transforming both its exterior and interior environments.
The original building featured outdated white tile finishes and a simple window structure, failing to fully reflect the image of a modern urban enterprise.
The primary goals of this renovation were to transition to a modern and sophisticated exterior, improve spatial efficiency, and strengthen the corporate image.
Exterior Transformation
Before: Monotonous horizontal window arrangement, aged finishing materials, and limited façade design.
After: Application of a premium Low-E double-glazed glass curtain wall system wrapping the entire façade, enhanced with rhythmic horizontal black line accents for a refined look.
Installation of metal louvers at the upper levels to add depth and dimensionality.
The main façade was redesigned with a linear, streamlined form to distinguish it from surrounding buildings.
Spatial & Structural Improvements
Basement Parking: Introduction of a mechanical parking system to maximize efficiency, allowing the addition of three more parking levels.
Lobby: Use of metal louvers and premium finishes to emphasize a modern and welcoming atmosphere.
Upper-Level Lounge: Landscaping and deck installation to create comfortable spaces for employee and visitor relaxation and communication.

Ceiling Interior Design
Warm wood tones and recessed lighting create a sophisticated ceiling design that adds both depth and warmth to the interior space. The linear wooden beams not only enhance the visual flow but also provide a sense of rhythm, guiding the eye naturally through the room.
